LENA BUNDY

Lena grew up in Scandinavia, where she was classically trained in vocals, choir,
violin,
composition and more, at the renowned elementary school of music Fryxellska
musik-klasser,
trained under the legendary Bror Samuelsson. In her youth, she attended competitions
with the
choir Mariakoren in Wales, Italy, Finland and more. She was introduced to American
soul music
and jazz at an early age by her father, and developed a passion to sing that same
music. She
began to sing and perform all over Sweden at an early age.
In her mid 20s, Lena moved to Copenhagen where she had an extensive career as a
studio recording
artist and she is featured on a multitude of albums by renowned Danish musicians,
including Stig
Rossen, Lis Sorensen, Marie Carmen Koppel, Universal Funk, Bamse, Anne Linnet,
Jorgen Emborg,
The Radio Symphony Orchestra, as well as Danny O'Keefe in the US. She has performed
in Europe at
the Jazzcafé (London), Jazzhouse (Copenhagen), The Roskilde Festival (Denmark), The
Daily News
Cafe (Stockholm) to mention a few. Lena has studied under Mark Murphy, Nina Brodd,
Sanna Hulten,
Anna Rosing, and Susanne Ørum and holds a certificate in jazz vocals. Lena teaches
vocals, piano
and violin.
